PARKING LOT SAFETY

Students driven to school should be dropped off in the drop off zone. Ensure that your children exit your vehicle on the right, and not into the flow of traffic. Safety patrollers will assist students into the yard areas. Please do not block the flow of traffic in the drop off zone. Cars are not permitted in the bus zone. If you will be at the school for an extended period as a volunteer, please find a parking space in the parking lot.

COLD WEATHER/RAINY WEATHER

Please make sure that your children dress for rainy or winter weather. Children do spend considerable time outside each day before school, at recess and at noon. It is only on extremely cold days or very stormy days that they would enter the school earlier than usual. If children dress properly, outdoor play is healthful, recreational and encouraged by staff. Indoor footwear is requested when weather is inclement. On occasion, parents request that children be kept in at recess or over lunch because they are not well. In the interests of their own personal health and the health of other students and staff, children who are not well should remain at home under parental care. Your cooperation is appreciated.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

All activities are co-educational and most are conducted during the lunch break according to schedules. Programs vary throughout the year and are announced to the students or through newsletters. Extra curricular programs will reflect "Equal Opportunity for Students".
